Bob’s day helps raise £1,900 for Teenage Cancer Trust

Funeral Director Sarah Lockton has raised nearly £1,900 so far for the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of her dad Bob.

Covid-19 restrictions meant family and friends couldn’t give Bob a proper send-off after he died suddenly at the end of March.

With restrictions now lifted, Sarah, who works at Torbay and District Funeral Service, invited family members from as far afield as Spain and the Lake District to a special celebration of Bob’s life in August.

Family and friends dressed up in Bob’s clothes and brought their fundraising total, through online tribute service MuchLoved, to £1,876. Throughout September, one of Sarah’s daughters will be running a total of 60 miles to add further sponsorship for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
