Torbay and District Funeral Services have sponsored a keg of Bays Springtime ale for another year at the Kingskerswell Summer Moon Beer Festival, which was held from 22-24 June.
The annual fundraising festival on the parish meadow, organised by Rev. John Leonard of St Mary’s Parish Centre in Kingskerswell, celebrated its tenth anniversary this year.
Funeral Director from Torbay and District Funeral Services, Sarah Lockton, said: “We sponsor a keg every year and all the monies go to various charities throughout the bay.
“The team always attend the festival as we can guarantee it will be a really fun weekend. The bands are amazing, the food never disappoints and it’s even better that it’s all for charity!”
The Summer Moon Festival is run under the auspices of Kingskerswell Summer Moon Trust, which was established with the aim of running a beer and music festival that would provide entertainment for the local community as well as raise funds for local charities, community groups and deserving causes.
This year the festival raised over £10,000, bringing the total raised over the last 10 years to an incredible £115,000. The Summer Moon Trustees will distribute the profits of this year’s festival in the Autumn.
